11230-01 - Lecture: Urteilen und Entscheiden II 3 CP

Content This lecture will focus on using our understanding of judgment and decision making to understand and improve everyday choices. The goal is to rely on insights from basic research on the role of affect and cognitive process to help us improve everyday decisions regarding work, wealth, and health. What makes us happy and how do emotions affect our choices? How can we improve self-control in the face of temptation? How can we design better decision systems and procedures to make the world a better place?
Bibliography Readings will be provided during the lecture.
Comments 2-semestrige Veranstaltung. Die Vorlesung setzt Kenntnis der Inhalte der vorangegangenen Vorlesung Urteilen und Entscheiden I voraus und ist für Studierende des 4. und 6. Semesters gedacht.

Sprache: Englisch (mit zum Teil Literatur in Deutsch).
