Content | Collaboration across disciplinary boundaries is advocated as indispensable for scientific work. Although extensively studied and theorized, difficulties persist, which are especially evident in collaborative projects involving researchers from the social sciences/humanities and the natural/technical sciences. This seminar series develops a perspective on collaboration in transdisciplinary research, drawing on concepts in Science and Technology Studies and Transdisciplinary Research. The aims are two-fold. First, to discuss conceptual tools for researchers collaborating across knowledge boundaries. And second, to frame these conceptual tools in relationship to Swiss research networks that operate in Africa. The seminar is jointly organized by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and the Research Network Africa. |
