Content This course aims to help graduate students improve their writing skills in English. Communicating effectively in English is an essential skill in every science. This course is especially useful to young scientists who want to learn how to communicate clearly with a wide range of audiences.

We will cover several genres in this course (e.g. thesis/dissertation, scientific paper, and poster). We will also combine analysis with production to help you improve your scientific communication skills. Topics we focus on in this course include organization, presentation, and correct English style.
Learning objectives Students who complete the course will improve their understanding of:
- Various genres used in scientific or professional communication
- The process of creating high quality texts
- Writing clearly in English
Bibliography Writing for Computer Science, 3rd Edition, by Justin Zobel (2014)
Other materials will be provided by the teachers.

Admission requirements MA, MSc students who must write about their scientific research in English. B2/C1 level of English required.
Course application Registration is limited only to Computer Science students (MA, MSc).
