Content | In this lecture, participants will learn about the application of digital technologies in research and therapy in the domain of clinical psychology. We will discuss current controversies in clinical psychology such as the role of classification and diagnoses and the replication crisis, as well as the improvements that technological solutions could provide. One main focus of the lectures will be on assessing and understanding the digital footprint of mental illness using tools such as smartphones, social media and wearable devices. The second central topic that we will investigate involves the use of digital technology in the prevention, treatment and management of mental disorders. |

Assessment details | This course will be conducted entirely online with the exception of the exam. In order to qualify for the exam, participants will have to read scientific papers and write short commentaries about them on their blogs on a weekly basis.
