| Content | Das Seminar ist als begleitende Lehrveranstaltung zur Ringvorlesung "Fotografie: Theorie - Geschichte - Ästhetik" konzipiert. Jede Woche werden entweder Texte der Referentinnen der Ringvorlesung besprochen oder Aufsätze gelesen, die in einem direkten Zusammenhang mit den Vortragsthemen stehen. Studierende sollen sich dadurch auf die Ringvorlesung vorbereiten und die dort besprochenen Inhalte vertiefen und diskutieren können. Das Seminar wird dementsprechend einen breit gefächerten Einstieg in Theorien der Fotografie bieten und sich dabei mit den Themenfeldern der Wahrnehmung, Subjektivierung, Erinnerung und Archivierung im Zusammenhang mit fotografischen Verfahren und Praktiken befassen. Ausserdem sollen die Studierenden Einblicke in die Geschichte der Fotografie unterschiedlicher Regionen erhalten, wobei unter anderem fotografische Praktiken im persischen und osmanischen Raum, sowie in kolonialen Kontexten beleuchtet werden. Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden die Seminarteilnehmerinnen ausserdem eine Führung durch die Fotosammlung Ruth und Peter Herzog erhalten. |
| Learning objectives | Studierende sollen einen fundierten Eindruck über die Vielfalt der fotografischen Theorien, Verfahren und Praktiken erhalten, sowie einen kritischen Umgang mit fotografischen Sammlungen und Archiven erlernen. Dies soll Basis und Inspiration schaffen für die eigenständige Erforschung fotografischer Quellen und Praktiken. |
