27249-01 - Project: Applied research in bioinformatics and systems biology I 6 CP

Semester spring semester 2020
Course frequency Every semester
Lecturers Richard Neher (richard.neher@unibas.ch)
Torsten Schwede (torsten.schwede@unibas.ch, Assessor)
Erik van Nimwegen (erik.vannimwegen@unibas.ch)
Mihaela Zavolan (mihaela.zavolan@unibas.ch)
Content The research projects will provide students with important skills needed to carry out their own independent scientific research. Literature research, independent work on their project, and a written summary/conclusion that will be discussed with members of the host group are part of the project.
Learning objectives Students will learn how a study should be planned, carried out and presented to a scientific community. Working on his/her own project will familiarize the student with the scientific and will encourage independent, analytical thinking.
