| Content | This Übung is a follow-up to Prof. Habermann's Survey of English lecture "Romantics and Victorians" and can be regarded as a companion to her "Fin-de-Siècle to the Present” lecture (19140-01) as well. However, there are no prerequisites to participate, and the course is open to all. Students are going to read, discuss and read aloud from a selection of both classic and more modern Gothic literature texts. |
| Learning objectives | Close readings of crucial texts of Gothic literature, ranging from the beginnings in the late 18th century to its most modern reinterpretations in the new millennium. |
