Learning objectives | Understand the role of statistics in the scientific process; Describe data using simple plots and summary measures; Construct and interpret estimates and confidence intervals for key population parameters; Identify and apply appropriate statistical methods for simple analytical problems; Recognise and take into account confounding and effect modification; Apply this knowledge in practice using Stata. Description: This course covers basic concepts and methods of biostatistics and quantitative epidemiology. |
