Content “Ask a scientist about Hollywood, and you’ll probably get eye rolls. But ask someone in Hollywood about science, and they’ll see dollar signs: moviemakers know that science can be the source of great stories, with all the drama and action that blockbusters require”

We, scientists, have great stories, and we can learn to be ‘scientists-as-filmmakers’! In this course you will learn about camera, audio, lighting equipment, and how to use film editing software, together with how to write, design and carry out the basics of making a documentary.

Course Program:
21 October 2020: Screenwriting & storyboard and Camera & lighting
22 October 2020: Filming short doc films
23 October 2020: Film editing
Learning objectives -Learn the basics of filmmaking theory (Storytelling, Storyboarding, Script-writing)
-Learn the basics of filmmaking practice (work with camera, light, sound)
-Prepare their own films
-Learning the basics of film analysis
Comments Tools: Canon & Sony cameras, different lighting material, Premiere Pro 2020 editing software will be made available.
Wearing a hygienic mask during the course is compulsory.

Admission requirements Number of Participants: Participation is limited to 12 people.
No prior knowledge required.
