| Content | Transnational feminist reading group This self organized reading group aims to trace genealogies of writers that particularly took part in developing a transnational feminist framework to knowledge production and social change. Together we select and read texts that reach from Black feminist critique to post- and decolonial perspectives, while also looking into current critical race studies. This critique is concerned with further improving feminist scholarship and activism, while proceeding from the question of how globalization and capitalism affect people from an intersectional perspective. The reading group will discuss texts written in English but will decide best practices on language use during the meetings, depending on the groups’ constellation. Though the group is aimed at MA and PhD students, with previous knowledge in Gender Studies, we would like to encourage people from various disciplines to take part in these conversations. |
