Content | The lecture series studies human’s history through the eyes of an economist. To understand the dynamics and differences in the standard of living across economies we proceed in three steps. After a brief introduction to data sources and we discuss how to measure the standard of living. Finally, we make a journey through the topics of economic history to discuss the potential determinants of the living standard. |

Admission requirements | Fundamentals in statistics, micro- and macroeconomic are useful but not a hard condition. Good command English. |
