| Content | The lecture series teaches fundamental demographic and economic knowledge. Participants learn how to measure and model population dynamics and age structures, as well as fertility and mortality to answer questions, such as: What determines population growth? How did fertility and mortality develop? How can we explain that fertility is lower in developed than in developing economics? Why is economic development positively linked to longevity? |
