| Content | This online course offers an introduction to the biophysical methods available for biological research in the Biozentrum. It will comprise two days of lectures and online demonstrations to cover theory, practice, application and data analysis for each technique. Additionally, an assignment will have to be completed. The aim of the course is to help students to identify those techniques that will make an impact in their own projects, and to give them sufficient understanding to be able to discuss and plan experiments. The course will cover the following topics and techniques: Stability screening for proteins (DSF, DLS, CD) Measurement of biomolecular interactions (ITC, SPR, MST, Fluorescence, FCCS) Characterising mass and size distributions (AUC, MALS, Mass Photometry, FCS, DLS) In Vivo and Single Molecule Biophysics (FLIM, SM-FRET, FCS, FCCS) |

| Admission requirements | The courses are limited to a maximum of 4 participants, PhD students only. The course must be fully attended, otherwise the CPs can not be awarded. |
