Content This seminar focuses on currents topics in the field of host-pathogen interactions. Each topic is addressed in two parts. In a first preparatory part, all students read two complementary research papers and a team of 2 students is responsible for presenting and discussing the papers in the group. In the second part, an invited expert in the corresponding field of research (and senior author on a least one of the two papers) presents a seminar to the students followed by discussion.
Learning objectives To practice the critical reading, discussion and presentation of research papers and data, and to obtain detailed insight into current research on host-pathogen interactions of poverty-related infectious diseases.
