Content The following mechanisms will be discussed: general principles of interaction with cells and proteins, repair mechanisms, mitochondrial respiratory chain, uncoupling, mitochondrial DNA, mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. ER stress response, redox reactions, lysosomes, phospholipidosis, cytokines, inflammasome, apoptosis, necrosis, nuclear receptors, and ion homeostasis
Learning objectives At the end of this serie of lectures,students should know the principle toxicological mechanisms and understand how toxicants can damage cell organelles and cells.
