13167-01 - Lecture: New Trends in Developmental and Molecular Immunology 2 CP

Content In the present lecture series various immune cell subsets and immune pathways which regulate health and disease will be discussed. During the first hour one Immunologist from Basel, from Switzerland or from abroad (e.g. Oxford, Glasgow, Berlin) will give an overview on published knowledge about cutting-edge research in Immunology. In the second hour the lecturer will present and discuss his/her own state-of-the-art research and give insights into latest results.
Learning objectives knowledge about 1) the major key players and pathways in immune defense, 2) relationship to human diseases, 3) new genetically modified mouse models, 4) new technologies in cell and molecular biology

Admission requirements It is recommended to have some Immunology background (at least Grundvorlesung Immunologie, 10413-01)
