| Content | In an urbanised world, the health of people living in cities is a global concern. Urban health is an evolving discipline whose boundaries and main interests are constantly being negotiated. In this introductory seminar we will discuss and work on the following general topics: - What is urban health? - Global urbanisation and health trends - Conceptual models for understanding the links between urban environment and health. - Health inequalities in cities - How to identify and collect data for urban health research |
| Learning objectives | Develop an understanding of what urban health is, what it can do and how to study it. Know and be able to evaluate different methodological approaches to urban health. |
