| Content | In this seminar, students will be taught the basics of quantitative text analysis (QTA) with R. The seminar highlights the individual steps of working with QTA, from creating and preparing a text corpus to the actual analysis and interpretation of the results. |
| Learning objectives | Using examples from the social sciences, students will learn the theory underlying the various methods presented. In addition, what is learned is applied in practical exercises in R. |
| Admission requirements | Prior Knowledge: Students need not have worked with QTA before, but basic knowledge of R and RStudio is required. A 1-hour refresher will be provided in the second session to make sure everyone is on the same page. |
