Content Toni Morrison (1931-2019) was one of the leading American novelists from the publication of her debut novel "The Bluest Eye" in 1970. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1993. In this course, we will study her last four novels from 2003 to 2015, "Love", "A Mercy", "Home", and "God Help the Child".
Learning objectives In-depth study of Toni Morrison's novels, as well as of their reception.
Bibliography The following books by Toni Morrison are required for the course:

"Love". 2003.
"A Mercy". 2008.
"Home". 2012.
"God Help the Child". 2015.

The books are available at the Labyrinth bookstore, Nadelberg 17, Basel.

Selected secondary literature on the four novels will be provided by the instructor.
