Content -Basics of electron and ion microscopy (SEM, TEM, STEM)
-Introduction to analytical electron microscopy, subtractive (FIB) and additive nanolithography techniques (FEBID/FIBID)
-Current scientific applications in electron and ion microscopy.
-Introduction to microtechnology
-State of the art in micro- and nanofabrication technologies
Learning objectives Understanding in electron and ion microscopy
Knowledge in analytical, subtractive and nanolithographic techniques
Overview of scientific applications in electron and ion microscopy.
Know how micro devices (<100 um) are manufactured with proven technology
Know how to go beyond microfabrication to obtain nanostructures (<100 nm)
Understand the physical principles of micro- and nanofabrication technologies.
