| Content | This seminar focuses on currents topics in the field of host-pathogen interactions. Each of the 5-6 topics covered in the course is addressed in two parts. In a first preparatory part, all students read a relevant research paper(s) and one or two students are then responsible for presenting and discussing the papers in the group. In the second part, an invited expert in the corresponding field of research presents a seminar to the students, which is followed by discussion with the speaker. |
| Learning objectives | To practice the critical reading, discussion and presentation of research papers and data, and to obtain detailed insight into current research on host-pathogen interactions of poverty-related infectious diseases. |
