70679-01 - Proseminar: Nuclear and Particle Physics 4 CP

Content You choose one article from a list of papers with current topics in particle and nuclear physics .The papers are usually taken from a physics journal or it is a proposal for a new experiment at an accelerator facility, You prepare a presentation on the chosen topic as well as a handout (summary of 4 pages in a given template). The presentation should last 30 minutes and will be followed by questions from the students and assessors end of April or in May. Dates will be announced on ADAM, usually five dates depending on the number of students. It is obligatory to attend and prepare questions to every talk reading the handout..
Learning objectives Learning how to present a topic and to write a "paper" (=hand-out) in a scientific style. To learn about current topics in nuclear and particle physics.
Bibliography List of papers will be prepared after introduction in the first week of the semester (28.2.24, 4:15 pm in 4.1, Institute of Physics).
