Content This course discusses topical issues of diversity and inclusive education. Inclusion is understood in a broad way referring to students’, families’ and colleagues’ cultural, linguistic and worldview backgrounds as well as learning disabilities and varied giftedness profiles. Ethical sensitivity, purposeful teaching and growth mindset pedagogy are presented as important perspectives for teacher ethics in implementing inclusive education in diverse schools.
This course is an intensive course that includes preparatory reading, interactive lectures and a written assignment (a scientific essay and a personal reflection).
Learning objectives The student
-Understands the ideology of inclusion and its narrow and broad perspectives
-Recognizes ethical sensitivity, purposeful teaching and growth mindset pedagogy as important perspectives of teachers’ professional ethics in implementing inclusive education
-Understands the necessity of interactional collaboration based on multi-professional collegial communities
