Learning objectives Getting familiar with the main problems and questions in optimal transport theory, as well as with the basic analytic and geometric objects used to develop such theory. Making connections between different branches of mathematics, such as analysis, probability and geometry. Discovering practical applications of abstract mathematical theories.

Assessment format continuous assessment
Assessment details Pass/Fail. The exam consists in an oral presentation of a chapter of the book in front of the class and in writing a short report. Presence is mandatory: to pass the seminar teach student has to actively participate to at least 70% of the lectures.
