| Content | The course can be best described as an extended hackathon, where you get the opportunity to learn about blockchain and apply your theoretical knowledge to an actual project. Ever wanted to create a subscription service (e.g., movie streaming) based on blockchain payments, design a stablecoin for a local economy, or manage hotel keys via NFTs and cryptographic keys? What about privacy in payments or crypto assets succession planning solutions? These are just a few of many exciting opportunities as part of the Blockchain challenge. There will be numerous case proposals, but you are also welcome to propose your own project. Over the course of 9 days you will be taught everything you need to know to succeed with your projects. You get a chance to a head-start to your semester with 6 ECTS, where most of the work is done, before the official start of the other lectures. This is a unique opportunity to work on a very relevant topic, enhance your skills and gain practical experience. Please note, that the lecture starts already on September 3rd. | Admission requirements | The lecture 46932-01 "Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptoassets" is recommended but not a strict requirement. Applications from other faculties and/or universities are welcome. |
| Course application | 1. Due to the special format, there is a limited number of slots. You may apply individually or as a team of 3-4. Applications with 2 team members are possible, but may be merged with other teams. The following applies to everyone: enrollment = registration for the exam/assignment! In case of non-participation after registration, it will be noted as "nicht erschienen" in the transcript. |
