Content | This course is targeted at MSc and PhD students with a keen interest in research on maternal and child health globally. It will provide a platform for a regular critical appraisal and discussion of peer-reviewed scientific publications. In each session, 1-2 students will be selected to present a scientific publication identified the previous week by the course organizers, and chair the subsequent discussion. All students will be required to read all papers, answer specific questions related to the paper in advance of the session, and actively engage in the discussion. |
Learning objectives | To practice the critical review of scientific articles published in the international literature. To learn how to concisely summarise and present research papers and actively discuss findings and implications with peers. To raise awareness of recent publications with a focus on research related to maternal and child health. |
