19760-02 (Seminar)
Course frequency Every spring sem.
Lecturers Madeleine Herren-Oesch (madeleine.herren-oesch@unibas.ch)
Teresa Pullano (teresa.pullano@unibas.ch)
Ralph Weber (ralph.weber@unibas.ch)
Content The interdisciplinary seminar is offered in two variants, differing mainly in the status and role accorded to disciplines. The following information concerns exclusively the second group (variant II), which will be taught in English. The focus is set on trans-, cross- and post-disciplinary approaches that seek to achieve an integration of disciplinary methods and insights.
In the seminar you will write, present and discuss a paper. The paper should prepare you for your Master’s thesis and also give you an opportunity to engage scientifically with a topic of your own interest within the broader area of European/European Global Studies. In order to ensure that the work load is evenly split among supervisors, there is a quota system. There are 8 slots per supervisor. On the following website you can find the current state of registrations: https://adam.unibas.ch/goto_adam_fold_236106.html. More information on the paper and presentation can be found at https://europa.unibas.ch/fileadmin/europa/redaktion/PDF_MA_European_Global_Studies/Merkblatt_19760-02_2017.pdf
